I took this photo on a road in my hometown. As a teenager I walked to and from high school along this road. It remains my favorite street ~ and, yes, it is so calm and beautiful. In the ’70s when I walked this road there were cows in the meadows so I’d hear them “moo” at me as I walked by. Sometimes I’d “moo” back and they’d lumber over to the fence to greet me! But now the cows are gone and the only sound along the road is the song of birds.
