just discovering the wealth of beautiful pictures on google and found your heron in flight lovely and just like one I saw in Yarmouth Nova Scotia this summer as it took off while we were taking the photo!

I shot a sequence of images of this catbird – all with the berry in its mouth.
I may post a couple of the others on this site.
It was remarkable to me that the bird let me be so close, for so long, while it got the berry.
On SilverLining, my nature blog, I think I posted an article with the best photos –
Photo Shoot with a Cool Cat — or some such title!

As often happens, an element that was not planned, enhances.
I love the circles, which hint at the dazzling sparkle that was coming off the water that day.
